Memory 1

My BC display always shows "Memory 1" in the middle of the display. Anyone have any idea to what it refers?

Michelle 09-23-2008 07:59 PM

It's a DSP setting.

blktoptrvl 09-23-2008 08:05 PM

Please explain further if you don't mind. No mater what buttons are pushed it remains. What is it telling me?

Michelle 09-23-2008 08:15 PM

Do you have Nav?

blktoptrvl 09-23-2008 08:36 PM

No. No nav.

Hit the DSP button on the radio. You can select Church, Jazz Club, Concert Hall, and The Memory 1, 2, and 3 are custom settings.

I listen to Alternative, Blues, Brazilian, Real Jazz (miles etc..) and Punk.

:goodluck:

I find the mid bass and bass hollow with plenty of mids and highs. So my curve max's the left three, then slants down to the right. Room 1 clik seems to tighten it up, echo 1-3 cliks

Under the tone setting, I maxed Bass and treble, faded to 2/3 rear-1/3 front. Balanced even.

If you have any Tommy Bolin, these are the settings!

Where are yours?

Don't you mean increasing the Treble (highs) and decreasing the Bass. ? That link shows what you are describing, not the reverse.

It shows it on the tone (last pic) However, on the EQ pic, it shows the opposite. I tried the three pics together and thought it sounded good, but not to my liking.

Yeah I'm sure, check the link. Reason I point it out is that I think it 's backwards too. Music (at least to my ears) that is bass heavy is only good for rap. I haven't found the perfect settings yet either, but I can sure tell you that those 'recommended settings' weren't designed to bring the best out of many formats of music and at the very least I always swap treble and bass (bass dead center, treble at 75%)

Update: Yeah Realchef, I guess you are correct, the DSP doesn't reflect the bass/treble settings. IMHO the DSP settings shown along with the mid bass and 75% treble are pretty good but still not perfect.

Ok, Here is a pic.

Been messing with it a little more and this seems to be ok with me. Played No Doubt, John Lee Hooker, Astrud Gilberto, Tommy Bolin and some radio.
