With a 4.8is I doubt you are planning any offroading so I would suggest dropping it a bit (maybe 2 inches all the way around) which can be done in a few seconds with a computer tool that the dealer and most mechanics have. Will make your X handle a bit better.

Will this be reset if taken to the dealer for regular maint?

Also can some please, in laymens terms, tell me what the xpipe mod does for a 4.8is.

I just put the 1.5 inch wheel spacers on the rear - wow, it really sits stout. Totally different look. While it was up on the rack I looked at the exhaust, the muffler not the resonators are what are replaced by an x-pipe from the looks of it. There is another thread that has great pictures of the replacement. I think I might get an x-pipe made but have flanges at both ends so the muffler (or resonator as described by others) and x-pipe can be quickly swapped back and forth. I use my X for work to carry customers around infrequently and the ability to make it stock quiet is probably something I'd do. Other times I'm looking to hear the sweet sound of the engine. Bottom line, go for the wheel spacers if you haven't done it yet.

Good point, big power increase for sure - I'd be concerned about the remaining warranty and if the trans could handle it. I like it but it's a pretty big commitment from my thinking now for the X - my street car would get it first. Thanks

I like the ability to lower the X and I'd like to be able to just hold the lowered position when you use the dash switch.

Looks interesting - how does the lowering and rasing via switch work? Springs lower it to a normal setting height? When you lower via switch for load/unload setting does it go lower still? How about when you raise from normal position via switch? Thanks

You are right, no offroading planned - sounds like it could be a nice mod. Did you do this by chance? I'd be interested to know what happens via the lowering and raising switch on the dash after the dealer lowers it. Thanks

as far as i know the dealer can't use this technique on a 4.8is !!

i installed this module and i can simply choose what setting i want it in at any speed !!

i just had the truck realigned to the lowest setting cause thats where my truck will spend most of its time ..
