Also sometimes the shaking and stuff happens in reverse if you shift into it and accelerate too quickly, its still in the process of shifting..

Hi, Mtx5 that ZMax stuff really works,I see alot about it,especially in engine...what do you think?

Yeah I thought it did a pretty good job. I think BG might be better though.. still haven't tried BG.

OK, now i'm having the shaking in reverse... only if I push hard on the gas and without waiting for it to stop for a second...if i wait a couple of seconds before moving, no shaking, but if i quickly stop and reverse, it jerks as if the tires are losing grip or something.. as MTX5 said, if it's still in the phase of engaging the gear it might do it... I am counting on this... because it only happened to me only 2 times, and both times were pushing hard on the gas quickly after barely stopping... what do you say guys?

Transmission.

bgsquad 11-09-2009 04:28 PM

Come on :( everyday I engage reverse at least 3 times... it only happened once since like 2 months, and today... both times I was running late to a meeting and had to park fast...

Can someone tell me: it's ok dude, that's how the beasts reacts in such condition...

It's not fair, just last year I replaced the trans of my old pathfinder before I sold it and bought the X... people live and die without breaking a trans, how come i break 2 in one year :@:@:@

nothing serious, nothing serious, nothing serious.... ouf, I feel better :)

Not such a bad price. That means theres someone willing to do it for $2500.
Maybe you can buy a used one from a local junk yard and have a tech install it for you. (Still uncommon but worth a shot)

I advise you rebuild than replace, and a transmission specialist is a transmission specialist regardless of what "Big name shop" they may come form. LeeMyles, AAmco, Gibraltar, etc..Some of those shops contract their jobs out to other local shops that work out of "a whole in a wall" so its best to let the "poor people" make some money too, once they guaruntee their work. Theyre all independantly owned anyhow.

Reccomend you get a beefed up torque converter while your at it.
