Nope, not at Carmax, CPO from a BMW dealership. I still am hoping I got a good deal though :dunno:

I would make the first mod replacing the resonator/silencer with an x-pipe. The difference in sound is better than was expected!!!

Is there a recording somewhere of this? I have been looking but can't seem to find one.

Too bad there isn't one of a stock 4.8is with the X Pipe (or at least that I saw). I only saw a 4.4 with it on there.

Also, what would putting the X Pipe in do to my CPO/BMW factory warranty?

It shouldn't affect it. We have a few cars that come in with aftermarket exhaust and so far only one of them has caused trouble as it was causing lean mixture faults... but we didn't charge them for the diagnosis, just told them we couldn't fix it for them as it was caused by the full exhaust kit. (I actually had to borrow the exhaust from a lease return car to confirm that diagnosis)
