"SELF LEVELLING SUSPENSION INACTIVE"
 
Hi Guys,
my X5,4.4 has put out the suspension inactive message. The message seems to be intermitent though. It appears then when the car is switched off and switched on again, the message is gone. It then wouldn't appear fo a while. I wonder whether its just a loose wire to the sensor. It first appeared yesterday after i very gently mounted a curb. Any pointers to possible culprits please?

Not sure if I'm not too late with the info. My car showed the same in the same circumstances and they replaced the sensor within the warranty and the problem disappeared. From what you say it is most likely that it's the suspension sensor needing replacement.
