NEW MOD: XPIPE " Resonator "delete on my 3.0
 

Hi All,

Ok so yesterday I received my Magnaflow tru Xipe and took it to my local Midas and had it installed. I had them delete the resnator. The pipe itself was $83 and the install was $180, too much in my opionion but i do not have many choices around my area. As soon as I turned the key I heard the difference, not a big difference, but it was noticable. I am not sure but i defitnitly felt an inscrease in power when accelarating. More responsive to me.

ok, now i want more sound to come from my X5, I would like for it to sound meaner but not annoying. What do you guys suggest. :dunno: I still have all of my OEM mufflers etc.

I have Remus with an x-pipe. Its actually pretty loud and sounds nice and deep.

I did the supersprint with the xpipe :iagree: with :iagree: Krunk.....same outcome!

I have the Supersprints and straight pipes on my 3.0i, I love how it sounds but I think The X pipes might sound better. basically the only thing you could do now is change the mufflers!

Hey Ese, I dont have pics but i did a search for xpipe in the site and got some excellent pics , step by step of install under the carriage. I do notice a sound difference with the xpipe resonator delete with OEM exhaust but not a big one. I am also thinking of doing the AFE CAI, have heard some good things about this mod.

Greg if I change the mufflers will that give me a better deep sound from my 3.0i? thats what i am trying to accomplish without breaking the piggy bank.

If yes, do you have any recommendations for mufflers?

just like Greg said.....if you want more sound do the exhaust.....(mufflers)....SS/Remus/....there are quite a few that will work...but don't spend more than $1500.00 just not worth it...

here is your best bet.. do the AFE Cold air intake in conjunction with the Xpipe and then an exhaust. Here is the bottom line...it will not sound like a 4.8is or a mustang rumble.....but compared to any stock 3.0i it will be night and day.......also......seems like mine over time has gotten a more and more gutteral sound and a great note..... it's been 6 months for me..
