Auto Xenons

Hi guys i want to keep my Xenons on 24/7 anytime i drive the car, but when i use auto the xenons do not turn on during the day. Does anyone know where the sunlight sensor is, so i can black it out, resulting in xenons 24/7

thanks!

I think you can have them turned on at the main dealer, hook up to machine time.

If you activate your fog lights when you start the car, the mains will be on also and will be adaptive as long as your switch is to the automatic side.

Can't you switch them on?

I turn mine (2005) on simply turning the switch from the Auto to the On position. That overrides the auto sensor and manually switches them on. Does yours not have that ability?

LOL the simple and obvious solution! Not all X5s have the light sensor, but all have the On position on the rotary switch!

That's good stuff. For some reason, I read into the original post that he wanted the adaptive feature to be active too. I give up. Maybe I'll learn reading comprehension when I finish my degree.

Your assumption was right..maybe ill explain myself better in the beginning..

i do want my adaptives (white xenons oem)to be on during the day rather then the yellow bulbs that run during the day. So basically all in all

I just want my xenons on 24/7 without having to turn a switch, because when i shut off the car, i have to turn the switch off or my lights will stay on, but if i have them on AUTO then the lights shut off when my car does.

comprende?

thanks for the help guys.

Yes i do, but this is the reason for my post..i want to override this function of having to turn the switch everytime i get in and out of the car. if i leave it on AUTO..i never have to touch that switch again.

cheers!

Reason

It would seem like BMW added day light bulbs, why overide?

My 2001 Volvo didnot have day light bulbs and the head lights(always on) were all ways burning out.

What is the life of xexon bulbs?

I dont really know..but my car is still under warranty, but im sure the life of xenons are 7+ years.

white light luminence is so much nicer.
