thanks for the comments, i went way overboard with pics i took like 300 with my digital camera (I am a photographer though so I have to do it right), but I have to throw up some more pics just to show off the detailer's good work :)

The only thing that sucks is it doesn't seem to have that hitch on it... Hopefully you don't need to tow anything.

Ha thanks, don't need to tow anything yet, except now that I think of it.. it would be nice for some moving I have to do soon. From your posts though it seems to be impossible to find them anyway!

My old X was like that, I am debating getting a clear bra on this one though.. I can't decide though, I know they have pros and cons, still trying to learn more about it though.

Paint the rims smoke silver and the brakes red.

Is painting brakes on X5s worth it anyway, with all that brake dust?

Our neighbour's 2007 X5 has these awesome rims. They're similar to the 4.6is rims but they're straighter and wider and they don't curve inwards. They'd look great on yours, I wish I knew what they were called.

The dust can be eliminated with Axxis pads. Have them on our 4.8is and dust is a non issue. FYI:D .

I'm seeing two types Deluxe and ULT, what did you use, and what do you recommend? Are they clipped on the brakes? I'm asking so I'd know what to paint red! :D

I think that generally people paint the calipers red so it is are visible from the outside. Could be wrong though. If you look at your brake there is the large metal fitting, that is what people paint (pictures in this thread: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-items...wer-price.html.)

I used the Deluxe from Zeckhausen racing. They work great with very very little dust. Can't comment on the ULT. Contact Dave there if you have any questions, great guy.

Not sure what he means, but mine are the Axxis Deluxe pads.

Sorry for confusion, mis-read, my bad. I thought Imola was talking about Porterfield R4-S as they are also sold by Zeckhausen. Axxis did not make brake pads for 4.8is till I believe 2006.
EBC pads are also good for 4.8is. Check this thread.

Wow, E53 still looks awsome imo, E70 is to big, wonder how big the new F25 is, somewhere near the E53 perhaps?

Yes, I would say so. Definitely call Dave Zeckhausen at Zeckhausen racing for an "expert" opinion:thumbup:.
