X5 4.6iS Tappet Rattle
 

My X5 with M62 (4.6is) motor exhibits tappet rattle when cold, this dissapears when the engine is warm, it is quite loud and sounds like it is one valve only on the right bank, no error codes are stored etc. It is annoying and I don't think this should happen, I have tried several "procedures" to get rind of this (can be caused by air in the valve adjusters) but to no avail. Dealer says it is normal but I know it is not as I had a 4.4i before and this was fine.

Any ideas?
