Okay ... so it's supposed to intermittently not upshift?! I guess that's not quite accurate. I ASSUME it would not upshift because I took it out of sport mode before redline - I wasn't about to find out. Not trying to be ornery but this just doesn't sound logical. :confused:

If this is how it's supposed to work then it's good to know but not happy that it's designed that way. I'll keep searching and ask around to make sure.

Sport mode in a 4.8 should go over 5000 rpm's before it shifts automatically, no?
