Question on aftermarket style 87 wheels

I have been looking at a few X's with aftermarket replica style 87 wheels that came on the 4.6is. In one instance I noticed that the rear wheels didn't seem to have the concaved spoke deep look that the factory wheels have. The spokes were more flat like the fronts. The sizing of the tires was the same as the factory 4.6is setup. It was on a 2006 4.4i with sport package. Is there more than one version of the "knock off" style 87 that may not have the same offset as the factory wheel?

Thank you.

To my knowledge, at least there are two kinds of replica. One kind has no letter around center cap. The other has "BWM". But, I can't say one has more concave look than the other.

The answer to your question is......if they buy the staggered set up the the rears will be 10.5 offering that meaty more concave look......sometimes individuals go get the rep 87's but don't realize that they are buying the 9.5's (the fronts) ...all the way around...good catch noticing that on your part....very smart to ask that question before pulling the trigger..just make sure that you buy a staggered set up...I think there might be a staggered set up style 87's in the for sale forum..

If that's the case then the owner squeezed the 315 tires onto the 9.5" rims. Looks hideous.

Does anyone know off hand what the factory offset numbers are for the stock 4.6is style 87 wheels? I found a vendor online selling replica's that state the offsets are +45MM front and +30MM Rear.

OEM Setup for Style 87's:

Rim width/diameter - offset - tire size
9.5 x 20 Front - ET 45 - 275/40 R20W

10.5 x 20 Rear - ET 30 - 315/35 R20W

Get em from AFS Wheels. I did alot of research, they had the best ones, and you can get the staggered setup mounted and balanced with toyo tires.

I tried their website and they don't show them anymore. When I was searching I thought this place looked like they sold a decent product at a good price.
