Style 209 tires?

1 Attachment(s)
I am looking at a set of rims and tires for winter. Seller stated they are from an x5. I haven't had a chance to call him yet. Has anyone seen thes rims before? How can I tell if they are genuine oem and not aftermarket?

Those would be Style 99's. You would have to check out the wheels to see if they are OEM or replica's, though.

Look at the markings on the inside. There should be a stamped BMW part number and the letters BMW.

I don't recall ever seeing that style reproduced (not a high demand for 18" X5 rims). Most replicas are at least 19" or larger.

BTW, those are the rims that BMW recommended as the winter wheels for the 4.6is

Actually they look like Style 209's as both style's look very similar IMHO. The 99's are for E53 X5's and the 209 are for E70 X5's. Make sure you get the right ones for your car because the offset needs to be correct, etc.

From what I see, Style 209's have spokes that are concave. Style 99's have a flat indent then smooth out towards to outter lip of the rim.

I see a Style 99 rim in that picture.

Thank you. They do have winter tires on them. I just didn't know how to make sure they were oem rims. The seller wants $395 for the set. I would say that is a good deal for oem rims with winter tires. I do not know the condition of tires yet. The are 255/55/18.
