Noises from the boot
Hello...
Has any one experienced this VERY annoying knocking noise from the rear boot area, i think it is from the trunk lid or possibly the locking mechanism... but how do i get rid of it.... it's driving me crazy and the dealership has no clue... oh yea, the TIS also has no info.... i tried adjusting the locking mechanism but i keep getting this message on my instrument cluster (boot lid open)... and there are 2 adjustable rubber Stoppers located in the trunk/boot area that SHOULD support the lid, but to no avail.... the stops are adjustable. search the site, many people have done this.

Have the same problem ihave adjusted the rubber supports but problem keeps comming back did jou mannage to solve yours

Try putting a quick smear of vasoline on the rubber stops and both sides of the latch. If this is the more common poping noise caused by the parts rubbing, that will quiet it up.

Sticking felt onto the rubber stoppers works for me straightaway. You could give it a go too.

Thank you all....... But I tried all the suggestions, and still, nothing, but i was able to get rid of the instrument cluster (boot lid open) problem by adjusting the locking mechanism...
