New X5 owner

I just bought my first X5 on Monday and I am in love! I have a 2002 with a 4.4 V8 with Navigation. I am wondering if this is the place for me to ask beginner questions? (Most things seem pretty techy). I am still trying to figure out what I have on my X5.

Questions I have are:

1. How do I know what kind of Navigation system I have?
2. What is the best way to add functionality to my system in one package? I want bluetooth phone, satellite radio, and more sophisticated navigation.

If you take a look at http://www.carnationsoftware.com/car...lBluetooth.pdf you will se what parts you need to install Bluetooth. If your car are not prewired you'll need the wiring too, and in case Parrot CK3000 may be an alternative?

:welcome: This site will be a great place for ya!

For the bluetooth, one of the better options would be the BMW kit from BSW:

In the US I believe we're all pre-wired for bluetooth, but a call to the dealer for vin feature decoding can answer for sure.

And since most things have been gone over and discussed here before, at the bottom of the page is the great almighty :google: that searches the site.

Welcome.
On the BT, make sure you are buying the 13th generation BMW module ONLY! qnd upgrade the microphone. It's pricey but it fully integrates your phone lists etc..
Look on the hoem page in the forums, everything you need to know is there. Just read before buying.
