Hi, I'm really close to purchasing a BMW X5.
Can someone do a search for the
VIN # wbafa53591lm86039,
I would like to know some information and history about this car.

talk to a friendly local dealer. Any BMW dealer service dept. can call up all details of dealer service and maintenance work down to the last window regulator replacement or final stage resistor failure.

(of course, they don't know about privateer work)

In Spartanburg. Check this site. The site reads "birthplace of every X5 and Z4".

Spartanburg South Carolina I believe. Although it is only a 3 hours drive for me I never visited the site but was told it is worth the visit.

Maybe it was Europian delivery or Euroversion who knows? Some people ordering their cars from Europe like Volkswagens, BMW's, MBZ's, etc.

The deal is ...2000 and 2001 X5s vin numbers begin with WBA blah blah blah. This represents the origin of manufacturer to be Germany. I am not sure why 00 and 01 models start with this vin, but it was changed in 2002 to 5UX which represents the U.S. I originally thought my 01 X5 was made in German too, but it turns out...in good old Greenville SC...I am pretty pleased with that...because that is where I was made too. ;)
