Tentioner.....I messed it up.......
 

I was trying to replace the belt and I moticed my tentioner was acting up a little. I sprayed WD40 hoping and moved it back and forth, to get it to work properly. I ended up striping the Torx screw on the tentioner pulley.

Any suggestions hot to remove the torx screw? or a DIY to remove the tentioner pulley system. this is the alternator tentioner pulley. I could fine anything in the bentley manual and can't seem to find it here either. I jjust can't see enough to see which bolts to remove. :rolleyes:

Uh...you need to take it to the shop...If you "stripped" the Torque screw, this probably isn't a DIY job.. Probably wasn't a good idea to mess with the tensionor in the first place.

any idea how to remove the tentioner..........do you have to remove the pulley first to get to it......or can it remove it with the pulley in place?

No I don't have any idea. And I wouldn't try it if I were you also. You might break something else... Take my advice. Get the car to a shop and have them check it out.

People come to this forum for help! not to hear some NON DIY say take it to the shop.

I am pretty sure the pulley is sold with the tensioner. I am sure a more expeirenced DIY will chime in here is the part number 11-28-1-433-571-M40
