Best way to clean snoww of the x?

with winter approaching and snow already falling i was wondering what you use to clean snow off your x, i dont want to use any random brush because im scared of scratching.

I just used a nylon brush. The brush isn't the problem, it is the grit and dirt on the paint (under the snow) if you don't keep the vehicle clean. A good coat of wax helps.

:iagree:
never wipe it to the paint if it is dirty, take the top off and just let the rest melt as the day goes. Actually, I will rarely clean it to the paint because you never what's under the snow. Park it in the sun or garage overnight.

Synthetic wax will work best over the winter. Check for some p21s from the detail forum guy. After applying, let it cure overnight in the garage, remove the next day. Be sure to clay the car before waxing.

I use a nylon brush on the roof, but being 5ft 6in I have no idea if it scratches the roof or not cos I can't see the roof. :D

When I had the E53, all I ever used was Webasto:D
I loved it so much, I am thinking about fitting it into the E70. BMW is doing some winter promo for fitting the aux heater with remote.

I just moved to SC. That way I don't need to worry about snow;)

ditto - my 3rd winter here since moving from Idaho, where it snowed the 1st week in October - I only have my snows on when traveling up to NJ & CT for a visit - always get a good wax job done before winter and any good break in the weather
