Maintenance Warranty
 

Hello Everyone,

Considering how costly it is to maintain a BMW X5 should I consider getting a maintenance warranty. I have a 2002 X5 with close to 41K miles. I am the original owener of the car. This years maintenance seemed like alot of money. Between both (2) CV boots, (2) window regulators, heating system problem and some normal maintenance. I spent around $1,500 this year.

I was quoted the other $5K for a 3year/36,000 miles Platinum Warranty. Does anyone have any suggestions if this is a good deal. The warranty pretty much covers any "replaceable component".

Any suggetions would be appreciated.

Check with Warranty Direct. I think you can get a better deal than that. It seems a lot of owners here are pleased with them. I've only had one claim so I can't tell you much. There are a bunch of threads about them if you do a search. Hope that helped you out.
