I'm sure it's out of warranty. So, all the problems, common and uncommon, I have had fixed under warranty will be out of pocket for the buyer of this car.

It would have to be sold from one person with more money than brains, to another person with more money than brains!

Here's an M5 listing from same seller: http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/bmw...mw&distance=50
Another, 740i: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true

His name is Gregg Park and apparently he's involved with the Pebble Beach concourse show and manages some of the finest car collections in California.

oh wow now I'm impressed :yikes:

and I thought it would be hard to find a low mileage 4.6 :bustingup

Genuine Car with the following problems
1. Well overpriced - I'd rather have a 4.6is with 50k at half the price
2. No Warranty - All cars have problems and this one hasn't got to them yet.
3. If you need to finance it - rates and payback periods tend to be restricted for cars over 5 years old
4. When you come to sell it with 40k on the clock you won't get much more than the same model with 80k on the clock

Gee. Thanks for all the kind words:D
Just kidding.
I understand how strange this must be.
Yes, I have done my best to keep the cars fresh. Stored under covers and on battery tenders since new. Started and run to operating temperature regularly and then driven a few miles to circulate things. Taken to the dealer whenever it was time to get an oil change, flush coolant or brake fluid, recalls, etc. . .
As far as the wheels go, well, we have a lot of X5's. The owner prefers the 5 spoke style wheels so on the ones he has decided to hang on to, all '05 and '06 4.8is models, he had me switch out the wheels from the older 4.6is models.
That is why I have '03's for sale with '06 wheels and tires fitted. Fresher tires and an updated look for the buyers IMHO.
You are correct in that there is no warranty available on the '03 4.6 models. There may be some on the '05 and 06 models that we are selling though. The fellow who just bought the 115 mile '03 M5 put 600 miles on it with no issues before loading it on a boat bound for Switzerland. Prices are definitely negotiable and as far as condition goes they are of course virtually brand new.
I just wanted to set the record straight. I won't be telling you that I am out of the country and that if you just send a money order to the Royal Bank of Nigeria we can get a deal done. I'm a real person, and these are real cars.
I scratch my head a bit at the situation too. It is what it is.

^Are you my long lost uncle from Nigeria who is looking for his closest relative to give me $19M? I've been looking for you since I received the e-mail from your counsel.

isdeleon 12-03-2008 12:19 PM

do you happen to have a 1969 Dodge Daytona with around 100miles?

I can agree with you on points 1, 3 and 4, but definitely not 2.

All cars have problems? I can think of my last half a dozen that were never taken in for a warranty issue before it expired. These were not garage queens, all bought new by me and varied in prices from $22,000 up to the beloved X which was right at $70,000.

Thought I would throw this into the mix :D.
