Change PDC sensor
 

Hi all!

My PDC just died and i found that two of my sensors are dead by listening to them. I wonder if anyone has some instructions on how to change the sensors? Is it difficult?

And is there any difference between the rear and the front sensors? Are they the same?

Get ready to pay big bucks, I had to change one, $ 200 plus labor. The core sensors are all the same, but the accessories are different, like front right or left rear etc.

Thanks for you reply, i have found some used ones that i am thinking of buying. Is there no way of changing them yourself? I not really that keen on paying 400$+ for the pdc system :(

I think you can DIY and save some money.

On the home page there are articles on PDC retrofits. Use that as a guide as to what may be involved. Depending on the location of the ones that need replacing, you may need to remove the front and/or rear bumpers.

On my 04 removing the front bumper only takes about 30-45mins (no experience with the rear). Do a search as I know I've seen some threads about replacing the PDCs. I know of at least one person who replaced a rear PDC without removing the rear bumper (ca911).
