Thats the best thing about this forum, noone is wrong here:-) i'am just wondering why our friend is so mad about the tranny, i thought 4.8is had the best one.

The reason i'am talking about this is beause, Li-X5 IS might have sme problems which makes his experience unpleasent, what if my tranny starts acting up too, expensiveeee

Yeah, the hunting and pecking is not that bad for me ... I just give it more gas when I initially accelerate. Otherwise, my only real complaint is the intermittent slow or non-shift when only in Sport mode - no probs on the other modes with this.

It bothers me to no end too. The 1-2 shift takes for ever and if you don't hit the kickdown button in right away in 1st it shifts at 4500. Also if you go right from the brake to the gas it lurches (can't be smooth). I was actually wondering if the Dinan software would make the transmission not have that long lag, so I'm interested to hear your impressions / see your results.

Mine does this in the morning when it's cold. It takes forever for it to shift, from 1st to 2nd. When it warms up then its fine, i gues thats what all 4.8is do.

i never drive in sports mode, for some reason i avoid driving in S mode, afraid of messing up transmition.
