Interior Mirror Change

Hi I want to change out the interior mirror in my 2004 X5 for the Auto Dimming one and the Homelink facility, does anybody know if this is a difficult change out and any help would be appreciated.

I believe it's just plug and play b/c everything is independent, it just needs power

It is straight plug & play. Everything exists at the plug connector. You might need a new cover as most break the existing cover removing it. Best easy mod around. Should be a standard fitting IMHO.

Yep, getting the cover off (one against the windshield) is the worst part of this mod. I changed mine to the auto-dimming/ compass mirror - one of my favorite mods!!
