twins, is yours a rh drive? maybe that is y.

mine is a US spec.

Mine is a US spec 05 4.8is and has adaptive headlights.

Nope ... mine is US Spec also.

I left one other thing out to check. Mine has the words "BMW Dynamic Xenon" on the ring around the projector lens. I assume if those words are missing then maybe they aren't adaptive lights.
