Sirius Kits on Backorder?
We had negotiated the install of a Sirius receiver in our new (to us) CPO X5. We received a call fromt he dealership that the Sirius tuners were on back order, with no ETA, and that it wasn't from BMW, but Siruius themselves? Something about not having released the updated tuner yet? Anyone have any knowledge of this, it sounds a bit like an excuse pulled from the customer service reps you know what...
P.S. -- Does anyone know if we take it in for th einstall if I am going to end up with a black tumor on the roof (Antenna) or if they hide it in the rear wind deflector? I would hope it is a better integrate unit that something from Circuit City.. |
Talk to Tom at EAS they have them in stock, My dealer here in CT told me the same thing (back order). Tom knows about it as well.

Kits are actually on a national parts freeze with no ETA for release.
We'll keep the forums updated as soon as we have more info. There's always XM in the meantime (in stock). ;) |

To answer this question, yes you will end up with a black antenna on the roof. It isn't that noticeable though at all. |

Oh sure, its not that noticable on your Black X5, but on our White X5... |
wondering if they are updating the kit so you can add the XM package. Because the X5 unit is the only radio i cant do it to. :(
