I had the same shimmy at high speeds (60+). It was due to the thrust arm bearing. My dealer told me they were bad when I had my alignment done.

If your steering wheel pulls to the left or right as you come to a stop on a flat road, your rotors are most likely warped. Rotors warp a little as they wear but spraying water on it while very hot will speed that process.

Regardless, it sounds like the bushings are a more probable source of the problem for the X.
