Program daytime running lights
Read in the newbie FAQ sheet, you can:
"when active, your low beam (inner pair of lights) comes on...not your xenon." Is this true for all X5s? I have a 2001 4.4. How do I program this? Also, is there a feature where I can program my headlights to turn off when I kill the engine and open the door? I've forgotten to turn the lights off on occasion. Thanks! |

Inner high beam are used for DRL's, at reduced intensity. Dealer programming required.

I don't think MY01 has the auto-headlights, which will turn themselves off when you turn off the engine. I think the auto-headlings came in MY02+ models, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
And Coffeeman is correct on this one: the DRL (daytime running light) can only programmed by dealer (part of your Car Memory). |

I've got an 01 3.0 and the headlights do turn off when the ignition is switched to the off position. The parking lights stay on and a buzzer sounds as an indicator. :dunno:
