got a dent
1 Attachment(s)
 I am really pissed off because I just found out this morning that there was a dent on the top of my rear right door. It is pretty obvious as you can see on the pic. Not sure when it happened but I suspect that this was when I parked at the mall yesterday afternoon. Of course nobody left a message on the wind screen like I did when I once hit a car while backing up.
I looked on the Internet and I found a company specialized in dents repair and which is not too far. I will call them on Monday. On their Web site http://www.dentandhailspecialists.com/index.html they show some 'before/after' pics, pretty amazing. I really hope they can fix this one. |
Ouch!!! That one is going to require drilling a hole on the inside of the door to possibly gain access to it. Hopefully its not double lined in that spot. If they get it out, post some after shots.

Ouch! Plus it is not like the sheet metal in that location is thin.
|
How could someone possibly do that by accident?
I think it's the lowest form of life that intentionally vandalizes someone's car... :loser: Good luck - I hope they can get it to look as good as new. |
What could have dinged it so high?
|
:yikes: :iagree: whatever could have dented it so deep and so high on the car??? - just had my 2001 X5 touched up (hood & door dent plus rock chips on hood & bumper plus polishing out most of the blemishes) - asked my dealer for best place on town from their experiences - came out great :) - would love to post pics, but think "old dog" and "learning new tricks" :tsk: - if I ever figure it out, y'all be the first to know  - now to keep from getting new chips before I'm allowed to get a clear bra installed (body shop said 90 day wait for paint to cure)

Will you claim for the dent repair on your insurance? or stand the cost yourself?
|
That's a damn shame... Two weeks after I bought my 1999 328is (new) someone put a ding about the size of a golf ball in drivers rear quarter. I too the car to a place called the dent wizard and they were able to remove about 75% of the ding - I would give them a 6 on a scale of when to 10. A few years later I found a similar ding on the passenger door - while at my local BMW dealer I asked if they knew of a place that could fix it - they use a place called dent magician, which goes to the dealer in fixes dings - long story short, after 20 and $60 I couldn't find the ding again - this place was amazing - he commented on the fix the dent wizard did and said that it was the technology back in 2000 - now they can repair just about anything anywhere.
Good luck.. |
What a shame. Sorry to hear about this. Hope they can get it out. Good luck.
