i saw one black interior trim in person and boy they are sweet... NJ0453 (Rod) has them on his X...
|
They are so cheap now that I am thinking about getting a few and change it everyday to give me a thrill of driving a new car everyday~
Plus, they don't depreciate :-) |
The black trim does look really nice, but it does pick up dust and fingerprints very easily. Just like the saphire metalic black paint, it also show scratches as well. I have to wipe them down at least once a week to keep them clean.
I think the titanium trim would be a better contrast for the black interior and easier to keep it looking clean. That would be my pick if I could do it over. |
Aluminum and titanium seem too bright to me. But maybe it's just me :)

Send a note to the ebay seller to tell you the part number and whether the pieces are stamped with a BMW roundel.
|
Sent him a few questions and may have some follow ups. I'll let you know what I find out. I may pull the trigger very soon on this because I just removed the center console today to do a bit more stealth job installing the cabling for the Intravee/Alpine/Spec Dock. After having now done it once, I REALLY NEVER WANT TO HAVE TO REMOVE THE CENTER CONSOLE AGAIN!

I have the black trim on my 4.6 and have to say I really like it. My previous 4.6 had the titanium trim which is nice, but having had both now, I prefer the black.
Only small issue I find though is, even with the black trim the door grab handle and door release are titanium/silver but I plan on having these moded to black also. |
Since this is a thread about interior trim, anyone know the part number or name of the trim on the gear changer?
Mine's scratched a bit. Can I replace the trim on my existing gear changer or do I have to buy a new one? |
