I really like this post, my CPO runs out 8/31 and I have 72k miles right now so I know I am up for some preventive maintenance. BTW, do dealers or any other auto do diagnostic checks or analysis or inspections of what will need to be done?

Do I need to replace the Thermostat as well? or only the water pump?

ALWAYS replace the thermostat with a water pump change. Also check the 2 hoses behind the 4.4 engine (~30mm dia), if they are soft & flexible then they are wearing thin and should be replaced

Excellent point! All the hoses at the BACK of the engine should be examined thoroughly.
