Will these wheels fit?
1 Attachment(s)
Can anyone tell me if these E70 wheels will fit my E53. I know I'll need hubcentric rings for the rears. Its the width that concerns me. Thanks in advance for replies :)
The wording from the ad is below........ These wheels are geniune bmw 21" X5 optional extra alloys with Dunlop tyres, they came from a bmw demo X5 and have now been refurbished to remove a few kerb marks... they were refurbished by spit and polish to a very high standard. the tyres have only done 2500miles before being taken off the car, so hardly any wear on them. the rears are 325/30/21 dunlops the fronts are 285/35/21 dunlops |
Do a search but I'm pretty sure someone asked this before and the answer was yes.
Also, if you need hubcentric rings in the back you'll need them in the front. Nice wheels BTW! |
They should fit. As you mentioned, the hub size between the E53 and E70 is different (E70 is bigger), so you want to use hub centric rings to properly center the rims on the hub and reduce any unnecessary vibrations.

I thought the back hub was larger than the front on the E70 or maybe Im confusing this with the X6 :dunno:

Ummm.. no they wont fit.. send them to New York. LOL.
Yes you are confusing with the X6.. 72.6 - 74.1 hubcentric rings all around for e53 to fit e70 wheels. No shake no rattle no roll. I had 214s on my 01 e53. Putting them on my 05 e53 soon. |

These would work better on my E70 and Clubscene needs my 20" 214's. It has nothing to do with me being in CT  |
