What have people been getting for their 4.8is?

I am thinking about selling my 05 4.8is and wondering what people are selling/buying them for? Mine does not have nav or heated wheel. and has 23k miles. Warranty is up in October so thinking about a lexus...:dunno:

Are you worried about repair/maintenance costs? Is that why you want to switch?

I don't know how the current market is but I bough my 04 with 33K miles for $33K no CPO last October. I think the options I'm missing are rear side airbags and heated steering wheel.

Ya, a bit worried about owning a bmw with out a warranty. I am on my fourth bmw and with all the gadgets and technology these cars have today, there always seems to be something going wrong (or I am super picky when I hear something that I think is wrong??) But when you pay this much for a vehicle you expect it to be darn near perfect. I love the looks and performance, but its the wifes vehicle, and with our last snow storm in January, these things SUCK in the snow!! I know, I know get some snow tire and it would be a gem, but thats another $1200 bucks in tires/wheels!

Hey, I hear ya and money is always a concern - especially in these economic times.

The X is my wife's daily driver too. Oh oh, you said the magic words ... snow tires! Look out! :D

A Lexus? Wow, you just lost me.

The market has dropped even further from even 3 months ago when I bought my 05 X5. Looking at the local craigslist, I can now pick up the same model with Sport and premiun package for the same price I picked up mine (and mine was a very good price at the time compared to other examples then.)

Check out edmunds.com for a trade in value, and assume the best case scenario will be selling it privately at the trade in price (or perhaps even 10% less.) Tough times... very tough times.

I say keep it and get an warranty from Warranty Direct. And buy some snow tires. You're going to take a loss on selling it, so factor that into the price you could pay for a warranty and then to get into the lexus. unless you can drive off the lot no money down on the lex.

Which lexus? I was in miami a few mths ago and rented the ES350 and it was nice. But i don't like the "ease" of the steering wheel, feels like less control, not as tight.

Please can we end the lexus talk here and now. There must be a forum for that somewhere.

The Lexus RX drives very smooth and the cockpit is awesome. Best OEM NAV i've seen too.

Yeah but it's not a BMW.
