What is the difference between an E53 M57 ENGINE E53 M57TU?
I checked the http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do? wbsite and it tells me mine in an M57N, be good to know the diffreneces as the oil I am looking at specifies one type of oil for the M57 engine (e53 2001-2004) and another for the M57TU 2003 engine....mine in a nov 2004 car, so do I use the oil type for the M57 or M57TU engine?.thnx

TU means Technical Update. If you are referring to the engine oil, then best to ask your local dealer. We don't have E53 diesels in the USA.

Ok tried but was just curious I have the M75N engine and wanted to know apart from size how it differed if it does from the m57?
