Have you ever done the EU control with does wheels on.?

Im going to get a set of 20" 9,5 10,5 rims with 275 and 315 tyres on.

A bit afraid that ill get pulled over the first week and told to get it punched in the vehicle registration papers, or get rid of them...

Id love to lower mine as well, it looks good.:)

Gee, very nice paint job but 11500$ US, ouch ! for that price I can paint my car, truck and spend 2 weeks vacation in Dominican Republic and I'll have some good spending money on top of that. That is insanely expensive up there. But still they made a very nice job.

Ja fett er det, spes med 2x30mm spacere :-)

For me its no worries for the inspection. My car has 275 / 315 on 20's as the original size.

You can get a document from BMW or TUV with the aproval for 20'' wheels for your car as well.......

I checked out some photos of your car just now..

Its a killer ride..:)

I saw you had the gunmetal 87 rims earlier.. I think maybe thats my favourite..

I have 30mm spacers on my 18 by 8" wheels now. That will not work with 10,5" wheels without the flares..

I also see that you have the 4,6version with flares..

Any idea of how i go about to get papers for wider wheels..?

meandmyX 04-25-2009 06:31 AM

so how much would a repaint, plus or minus the dings or dents

993turbo 04-25-2009 06:54 AM

Thanks..

Yeah, first I had Gunmetal 87's (20'') then Gunmetal 215's (20'') and now I run Silver 168's (22'') (I still havent made up my mind if I should gunmetal my 168's or not...)

Papers for Wider wheels: Check with BMW. Also places which sells aftermarket alloys will have various TUV papers for alternative alloys.

ANYWAYS, I dont thing you will have any issues with 20'' on you car, cause its original fitment on many E53's, albeit not the skinny 3.0... :-)

Lykke til !
