Wheel diameter question....
 

If I'm running a 28.7" (total diameter) wheel setup for all 4 wheels, would anyone know if changing the fronts to a 29.0" setup would throw any of the vehicles related functions off i.e. abs/dsc/etc..... Anyone have any experience with this?

I doubt that 1% difference will throw anything off from what you mentioned. I don't know about the speedometer but as far as safety functions I don't think they will be affected where it will throw you an error or is a bad compromise.

Yeah I'm not as concerned about the speedo but moreso the related functions.... I only need two tires so basically I'd be changing my setup from 275/40R20 in the front to 255/45R20 and 315/35R20 to 275/40R20 in the rear....

why the skinny wheels?

Yeah and why not the same tires all the way around?

Okay my prob is that my wheels are 1/2" smaller width-wise than the staggered 20" factory setup i.e. my fronts are 9" wide as opposed to 9.5" and rears are 10" wide as opposed to 10.5." But when the tire shop ordered my tires, they used the exact sizing as the factory setup, so instead of having a slightly-stretched look, they stick out past the width of the wheels like they're way over-inflated (see pics). Now that I need new rears, I'm thinking I'll swap the current fronts to the rears and buy a new-sized pair for the front. This *should* give me the stretched look but the fronts I'm using would be a total diameter of 29." while the rears (originally the fronts with the other tires) has a diameter of 28.7" I think I should be okay with the .3" difference front/rear but I was hoping someone else with non-oem wheels are running a slightly different diameter setup like mine and if they had any probs with the abs/dsc/etc acting up....

yeah that over inflated look....looks no good.
