New to the club

I just drove my (new to me) 4.4i sport back to Dayton, Ohio from Moline, Illinois yesterday which took 15 hrs. but well worth the trip. My question is with the sport steering. The Previous owner really scratched the heck out of the black plastic around the steering wheel. With only 24k mi. will the dealer give me any hastle replacing it?

Welcome to the board! If your X is still under warranty (within 4 yrs since you have 24k miles) then the dealer should have no problem replacing the steering wheel plastic for free.

If your X is still under warranty, they will replace it for free...

but then again somebody here posted that their dealer didnt want to replace it even if his X was under warranty <- which is very rare since most had success replacing it for free.
