Headlights very similiar Custom Angel Eyes
Hey guys Ive been looking at these headlights for a while now and found out that they are very similiar or exactly the same to customangeleyes.com. It looks exactly like mtx5's and richirichs. It is less than half the price. I think the one he sells are $1100 but these are only about $350. I looked closely at mtx5's pics in this thread. I talked to a salesman on ebay who used to sell these and he told me that you could easily retrofit a HID kit in these.

good job on the angel eyes man. the lens are really clean too. also i was looking closely at the above headlights and I think they are the exact headlights as mtx5's. I dont see a difference. I wonder why Dave charges so much for them

over 1000$ is really a lot. Safest way if you wanna do it your self. Buy CCFL for 20-40$ and get you used headlights in ebay. If it works fine you can sell yours in ebay again and get good price. If you screw up you will still have your headlights. If you are relay good at it, than you can sell one extra set with built in CCFL and make some money ;)
I tried once eBay lights and I took them out after few days. Then I decided to make my own. Every car wash they were full of water and angel eyes were like weak. almost yellow light. Also adjusting motor did not respond like on OEM. One light was giving strong far light and other one was hitting road few feet in front of car:dunno: . I tried adjusting but could not get so good visibility like with OEM. This day was right one blury...some other day was other side full of water. I tried windshield silicone to seal them all around and water was still coming inside somehow:dunno: http://www.treffbilder.de/images/102...000814bem3.jpg In day light Angel eyes were hardly visible:dunno: http://www.treffbilder.de/images/102...000822fcq3.jpg |
oh cool those were the P53 depo lights. Yeah I had those but took them off and just made my own like you said. But my point is that the customangeleyes.com lights are exactly as the ones posted for less than half the price.

Yeah they were DEPO....i checked that web site ....that price could be justified if they are buying OEM headlights from BMW and built in headlights. But if they send you a some mad ein China headlights with CCFL then it is not worth it.

Driver...those were on ebay for under 200 bucks..same exact pair...They're not on ebay right now...but i'm sure they will be back in circulation.. If you want those wait a little while and get them on ebay..

Hi there,
Those ebay lights... are they easy to be opened and retrofit a better CCFL (like how you did it to the OEM ones)? Thanks. Quote:

If anyone should be interested I do have a complete set of original angel eye rings included the lenses, reflector, fiber optic cables, bulbs etc. I bought them some years ago for my E39 , but never got the installing done although it should be quite simple. I am not sure about the reflectors, but the rest of the stuff should fit many BMW included the X5.
Take contact in case you need more info and we'll find a reasonable price.:chilled: |
