05 - 'Activate phone" keeps showing up!
I paired my Samsung Omnia with my X5 for the first time yesterday and it all went well. But the next time I turned the vehicle on the display just says 'Activate Phone"...well, the phone IS in Bluetooth mode and is "on" but the vehicle doesn't seem to recognize it. It's not even displyaing my phone book or last calls....I guess I should try re-pairing?? I even put my passcode into the phone so the smartpairing would be activated...any ideas??

I've been having the same problem with my BT unit. I took it to the dealer, and they "reset" the BT unit, after which I could re-pair the phone.
About a week later, it happened again. I called them and asked how to reset, because I didn't want to come in again just for that. You unplug the power cable to the BT unit for about 30 minutes to reset it. For me, that didn't work the next time, so I am taking it in to get the unit replaced, when I can make some time to do it. |
Ok - thanks. Not sure how to get to the BT wiring - sounds tough. let meknow how it goes after you take it in...

I sure to wish that the frickin "LOADING PHONEBOOK" message would go away so I could use my phonebook.
