Slow at changing or tuning of radio stations
Does anyone else get annoyed that it takes so long to change stations? My x5 does not like it if the station does not come in 100% and takes forever for me to change to that station.
Plus there is one station that if I start my car it is static. But if I go to a different station and than tune back it is fine. It has been driving me nuts. I wish I could put the radio from my civic in lol. Never had these retarded issues. I would think BMW would be better than this. |
last time i checked, bmw does not make radios. by the by, you need to re-code the radio to fix this concern.

It takes a while to transition between stations because of the RDS. You can turn off RDS and it will be much quicker. The RDS can be reached in the audio menu.

OP, I do have the same kind of tuning problems with my radio as well. This is the first car that I have experienced this in... switch to a different channel, and switch back, to get a clearer reception. I am sure it has to do with digital tuning in the radio, but yes, even something as simple as a radio seems to be finicky in BMW's world.
