Installation Help: Mesh Grill

Can anybody point me to a guide for removing and replacing the mesh grills in the bumper assembly below the Kidney grills?

X5 Meister 03-20-2009 02:23 AM

You need to remove the entire bumper to get to it.

7.5 hours to replace mesh grilles on bumper cover?! I'm wondering how much that dealership charges for oil change.

The various PDC guides on the homepage of this site are worth a look re: removal of front bumper. Good luck.

Worst part of the mesh grill is that after just a few years it becomes quite brittle and gets damaged easier. It should have been better designed in numerous ways (stronger, easier removal, more segments, etc.)

i totally agree, come on you have to take off the whole bumper for something that breaks as soon as you get near it. they should have done a better job on this.

:iagree: it's not a very good design or quality.
