Got a link to the ebay page for these.
Pics when you get them installed. |
no link...just search for them...sorry. will post pics when installed
|
Justin!!
Nice man! set that black off right!!! Rich |
The seller, I believe, is carbonpart. Item number 190288645127.
I also remember a seller called bmerparts that also sold these, but may have run out for now. This is a very nice piece to add as it is subtle from far but looks great up close. I'd love to add this to our X5 in 2 years! |
you know it richi. Congrats! 1,000 posts. I can't wait for the meet.
Minzguy...carbonpart is the company I believe I bought from...great product....illl be out there in the sun tomorrow putting them on. |
Looking forward to seeing pics. Could you get some close-ups if you have a chance? Would be interested to see how it looks next to the gloss shadowline window trim.
|
looks like good quality justin, please post pics once installed...
|
Somethin' tells me they are not real carbon fiber, but that's just a guess...
|
I almost bought these last fall, I'd love to see them installed. Do you think they'll look nice next to chrome window trim? If i had black trim, i would definitely have gotten them.
|
Everytime I hear the words carbon fiber I think of Jason Ellis. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Carbon meter 2000! Heck I'm sold! Wasn't Jason Ellis the inventor of that device?

I am a big fan of carbon fiber as well. iwas able to shave off about 130lbs off my civic with carbon fiber hood, hatch, and roof. its so light and durable

Carbon fiber is a very tricky mod, IMO. It can either look really good or really bad. I think it will look good with what you have going on with your X.
|
thanks. i wish i could afford an x5 carbon hood hatch and roof. that would shed like 200lbs. painted parts of course
|
updated on first page with pics
|
Very nice, especially against white body colour
|
:hawt:
9 week from right now... :tgif: |
I hate to keep saying it - but GHETTO! Why do people insist on taking A $60k beautifully designed auto and make it look like a rice-burner? I don't get it. Maybe it's just me. |

First of all my x is a 15k beauty due to its age and recession. its not ricey...a fiberglass body kit is |
that looks sweet!

Sorry I hijacked Just...just venting a little... :D !! I get where damager is coming from but not with Justins cf pillars...I've seen some really bad cases of CS Disease.... Of course all the above stated...is just my .02................... Rich:thumbup: |
+1 to what RR said.
Plus I reckon it's a tastefull mod in that it doesn't stick out like dogs nuts on a canary :wow: plus you have to be up quite close to actually see the cf. From a distance you wouldn't know it's been done. |
I think it looks awesome on the white.
|
RR, X Foomph, RPX5. thanks for the compliments...I just get sick of the way that anodized black trim gets with the waterspots. Now if I can get the tracking number for my KW coilovers I'll be on my way to complete utopia
|
Hmm ... to my surprise that looks good! I'm not a fan of the carbon fiber look but I think on yours its a tasteful mod. I bet it even looks better in person.
Can't wait to see it at the June meet! |

its a cheap mod for a nice exterior look.
|
+2 on what RR said.
and i think it looks great  |
You know what - on looking at all of the newer pics, this actually does look pretty good, especially with the white body color. I withdraw that "ghetto" comment.
|
It does look great with black window trim, but how do you all think it will look next to chrome window trim??? Hmm..
|
Thanks damager. RPX5, I think that it could look good next to chrome. its like a cold pool....you have to make the decision to just jump right in. go get em
|
Updated pics are hawt!
I love the look of your X. I was so upset when you painted your 168's, but once I saw them in person I don't think I could own a white vehicle without black rims. |
thanks michelle. I'm starting to worry that I dont have enough time to get my x together before the meet. its freakin raining today and supposedly another three other days this week. I need a garage....better yet I need an x5M

Regarding the pic showing all the cars in your parking lot.....it sure looks like that Infiniti is touching the back of the XK8.....either that's that's the worst parking job I've ever seen or the best, with mere centimeters separating the two designations.
|
Looks good. The waterspots drive me crazy as well.

That looks nice...I even thought of doing it myself a long time ago as one of the first mods but never got to it. To those who say it's ghetto...I disagree, it's tastefully done, not ghetto-overdone. And if a little CF is ghetto to you...where does my X stand???

They look so nice... I had to order a set :dunno:
Nice  |
