Rear Suspension Bushings, 2001 3.0
I'm about to have the rear suspension bushings replaced on the X. I have 115,000 on the clock. I will have the rear shocks replaced while its being done. Should I go ahead and replace the front struts at the same time? I have differing opinions, naturally the stealer says of course. The indie sya's not necessarily. Any opinions?

Depends on the current condition really. If they are holding up great and still act like new than you don't need to really, but if they are getting a little weaker then of course it would make sense to go ahead and replace.
Another thing to consider is your financial situation. You know after being replaced they won't need it again for a looooong time, so if you have the extra $$$ now it may make sense so you don't have to worry about it later. |
In other cars, I've noticed that replacing bushings around that mileage really tightens things up again. Would be worth it imo.
Make sure to use OEM shocks. |
