Crazy Amounts of Mods!!
 

Hey guys!! been a while but i just got a saweeett check of $20,000 im going to spend it all on my X5 (e53) ALL WHITE STOCK. No mods as of now. But had questions. So heres my list and if anyone would like to help me begin my journey of midding my X.

1. I have regular hallogens. I want the best complete housing for projector HID w/ angel eyes. Any thatll look exactly like the new X5?
2. Ive seen the X with saweet thick back tires or i dunno if its all the tires but im talking bout they look like they have deep dish rims but its deep dish i dunno what size they are or anything about them but i want em. When i mean thick i mean from left to right (a thick track) the tire is actually low pro's
3. Want to upgrade the business cd radio. Preferably a nice touch radio just anything thatll make it look natural. And definitely with AUX.
4. Sound system looking to replace all factory speakers and adding 2 subwoofers.
5. The add on xtra body kit the same color of the car (white) for the X5 not exactly sure what its called but the actual BMW add on.

As of rite now thats about it.. Any more ill add on to the thread. Looking forward to you guys input.

1)Buy pioneer avic f-900bt it has all imputs and DVD player as well
2)Buy control module,so that you still can use your steering wheel controsl
3)Buy smoked LED tail lights
4)Buy chrome or carbon pillar posts
5)Buy smoked side LED markers
6)Buy BSW speakers
7)BSW sub
8)BMW x5 4.6 body kit + flares
9)OEM stlye 87 ofcourse wheels + tires , or if you like get 168 style or even 215. don't buy replica,go with OEM
10)Headlights with LED angle lights pre-installed with HID 6000k
11)HID fog lights,or just LED at least
12)OEM aluminum running boards
13)Exhaust. get 4.8 or 4.6 one,or if have extar $,get Remus or other performance exhaust.

:iagree: with everything except for smoke LED - i think the white looks good with the regular LED tails.. but your call.. def LED tails are a nice touch as you can see from his avatar. I'd say search forum for the headlights.. probably the most important mod for the e53 but it has to be done tastefully.. you can DIY or you can buy the entire assembly. There are alot of options for halogen to HID conversion with angel eyes. DEPO assembly might be one of the best that sort of looks like 2004+ headlights. Ebay has them for approx $450.

4.6 body kit + flares would be great. You can get the kit from Morristown BMW in jersey or Bloomfield BMW. Bloomfield has an ebay store just send a message to them or email Chuck - TwinsPoppa has his email address. You might want to go through them for everything you're looking for that is OEM.

I don't necessarily agree with "dont buy replica wheels buy OEM" - sometimes you can't find the OEMs you want or don't want to pay the $4000 for them i.e. my ferric gray 215s. But with $20k i'd say go OEM too if you're looking at 87s or 168s. That wide tire look will come from the tire sizes 275 front and 315 rear. If you go 21" you will get 325 rear which is the largest anyone has gone i believe. The silver 215s come in 21" replicas and are great. you can get wheels for $900 and tires for about $2k. Or look here for OEM 168s or 87s from members and get wheels and tires for a god price too. Can't go wrong on any of the 3.

+1 OEM running boards / +1 BSW speakers & sub

-1 chrome or carbon pillars - don't do it on the white. dont do chrome on any color. but dont do carbon pillars on white either.

Why not trade/sell your current X and with the xtra money get a 4.8is?

Save some of that money for maintenance unless you still have a cpo warranty. get one jlaudio sub and youll be good to go. now a days you dont need two subs to get the job done and youll save a lot of trunk space. How old r U? my guess is 18-19yrs old. wait till those girls from boca see u ridin high

+1 on trading in that baby for the a 4.8is ;)

Then do the X-pipe and BSW sub upgrade and call it a day dude. Save the rest of that money for the rainy year we're having.

Amazing, got a check for 20K and want to spend it all on the X5. Looks like you got your priorities lined up. I hope you're pretty set up in life and got all the education you and your family might need.:thumbup:

thats a great idea! trade in your x for a 4.8...u wont have any mods to do after that...yeah right but you'll have a complete beast

Trade your x in and use your money to buy a 4.8is .... job done

Modding the X is fun. Get you a set big Brembo brake + supercharger kit, it will leave any stock 4.8is in the dark LOL
