Quick Question about wheel size

I just bought a 2006 X5 3.0i

I test drove a 2006 X5 4.4i while at the dealership.. I LOVE the wheels that come on that model. Is it possible to put those 19" wheels on my X5?

cmyX6go 04-11-2009 09:16 AM

Yes

rcapilli 04-11-2009 09:25 AM

Is there a web site you recommend for buying these BMW wheels?

sprocket1200 04-11-2009 11:15 AM

bmw.com

yeaaaaaaaah, I know about that web site..... Wondering if anyone else had another web site that has good deals on BMW wheels.

What style rims exactly are you referring to ?? and yes 19" will bolt straight on.

Try BMW SAV Items for Sale here:BMW SAV Items for Sale - X5world or ebay. Both sites will offer up rims/tyres of all sizes off and on, it's a matter of being diligent and being the early bird (if you know what I mean). GL

Yeah which ones are you talking about.

I like the 5 star wheels. I saw them on a 2006 4.4 It was the factory wheels. But they are like 400.00 a pop.. AUGH!!

these are 18" actually...

X5 Meister 04-13-2009 02:43 PM

A 2006 4.4i had those wheels and they were 19" at the dealer?

yeah. I was prety impressed actually. It was a leased X5 by a doctor. 18k miles on it.

Actually the wheels it had on it were these:
Genuine BMW X5 Alloy Wheels at Kelly BMW

BUt I like the other ones better I think.

That's some doctor if he can take an 18" BMW rim from an older model X5 and make it a 19" rim. Plastic surgeon?

Here are my Fave 19" wheels: style 132, staggered...I love mine.
Maybe the best 19" wheel BMW has, imo.

I agree with posters above; if you aren't buying replicas, the
place(s) to keep an eye on are the For Sale forum here, and
maybe eBay.
Fwiw, I paid $1500 my my oem wheels, with nearly new tires,
for the set, from a fellow poster on this Board.

These look great.. It's what I want.

Agree with motordavid, awesome wheels. Not my #1 choice, but definitely in top 3.

If you want new OE BMW wheels then you'll have to buy them from BMW. Check out Tischer or Morristown. The home page also has a great link to X5 rims.

I bought a set of 19" OEM wheels for my 2005 X5 3.0 from Craigslist for $375 - check there first - never know what you'll find.
