X5 4.4 SPORT

IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE OF POWER BETWEEN SPORT PACKAGE AND NORMAL X5???????????IS THERE OTHER DIFFERENCE????

X5 Meister 04-11-2009 05:24 PM

Do a search, this was just asked.

No difference in power, or gearing. It is just a package of options that includes larger wheels, sport suspension, sport seats, etc. The sport packages vary by where the vehicle was sold; UK, US, Canada, and Australia can all have slight differences depending on the year the vehicle was produced.

:iagree: Also, alcantara headliner and clear turn signals front and rear were standard on US models with the sport package, not sure about your area though.

Anthracite, not alcantara.

Honest mistake. Some 'is models up through 2005 had alcantara headliners which were very nice.

vivanov1 04-13-2009 05:05 PM

3.0

X5 Meister 04-13-2009 06:13 PM

Then your headliner ain't alcantara.

vivanov1 04-13-2009 06:16 PM

sorry for the mix up. i meant the headliner that comes with the sports package vs non sport in the 3.0's. does someone have a picture?

i have a sports package 3.0

i will get you a picture tomorrow

X5 Meister 04-14-2009 02:01 AM

If you look at the main page at what options are available on X5's just look at shots of ceilings. Sport models will have a dark/black headliner. Non-sport wil not, and it will be of the same color/shade as the interior, that's all. Look around at some on ebay, I'm sure you can find one in 5 minutes.

I really feel like the tuning is different on the sport package auto box. call me crazy but I think it changes up/down better under spirited driving.

X5 Meister 04-14-2009 06:32 AM

Okay fine... you're crazy.

There is no different automatic box on the sport package.

All Steptronics have a sport mode, however, whether or not the vehicle has the sports package. Just move the shift lever to the left.
