I know it's bad and I shouldn't do it, but sometimes I can't help myself. But I never do it in a traffic situation, my instance was at 3am on an empty highway with no side lots or intersecting streets. I too have lost friends to stupidity thus restrain myself usually.

I once drove my X5 close to 110mph on an empty freeway at night when I first got the X5. I would never do that again.
It is very dangerous indeed. Two weeks ago, I was working on a case with ENT in the OR at a county hospital, trying to fix up a guy and putting his face back together after he got caught in a high speed chase, trying to cross the border. Trust me, you don't want to end up like this guy. And likewise Statdoc, I could never live with myself if I caused the death of an innocent person. The border patrol guard told me there were two deaths involved in the incident.

i've raced a couple times nothing real serious except one race...against a 1995 e36 m3...that was a race to remember, from the light to the freeway to the exit was epic! Of course i didnt disappoint the fans of the X5 and walk away with that big W!!!!!

When you race make sure you know the area and are cognizant of the traffic and ALWAYS watch for the POPO...

Yea i have a bunch of over zealous guys at my school with mustangs or tuners, and i bring them to shame when the x destroys with its 5000 lbs. LOL
