papasmurf, do you still need to use resistors with these canbus 194's?
Is canbus a brandname or a style? Sorry, just not familiar with those...

You either need the resistors or canbus bulbs. Canbus refers to the bulb drawing similar resistance to a 194 bulb in order to fool the computer.

What about wattage? Can I use use 1.5W or 2W bulb here?

Would this work?
V-LEDS 6K WHITE 4 M-SMT 2W HIGH POWER BULBS 194 168 158

It states:

No bulb out warning!
Can be installed in Mercedes, BMW and other vehicles that need the load of a standard filament bulb to function properly.

Thanx Papasmurf. I just had time to research it and yeah, I now know the CANBUS refers to the OBDII/Canbus wiring systems in the vehicle and errors thrown cause of them not getting proper wattage/resistance readings.

I've always bought LED's with resistors attached to the motherboards, I just never heard them refered to as Canbus safe LED's before. I learn something new eevryday!

Shurap1, those are some expensive bulbs!!!! And for what the purpose of the lights is, will they be worth $25? Id say just buy some cgheaper ones, but make shre they have a load/resistance built into them. Its east to spot the resistor built into them.
SMD LED's are the way to go.
