It's for his Honda Civic EK. He has an X5world .com sticker on the Civic.

jst2878,

Do your LED tailights give you a error message and flicker? where did you buy them from? because i have 05 X 4.4I and bought LED tailights from Zonkspeed on ebay. they always flicker and sometimes (on and off) the msg check rear lights. any one has this issue? what is the fix? thanks to all in advance!

jst2878 04-27-2009 09:40 AM

YOU SHOULD RETURN THEM AND GET ANOTHER SET. i purchased the zomkspeed and they r fine

NyMench 04-27-2009 11:37 AM

I have a question.......will you now not notice a major difference of the rear lights across the back? Half led half incandescent? Honestly don't know as i am never looking at the back of the car?

Any one have the before and after night photos of this.....with and without foot on brakes?

TIA,

Fletch

rastaFarai was having no issues with them on his previous 01 and then he had the flicker problem when he installed them on his 05 ... then he sold them to me :D ... I have no issues on my 02

Ldiggs910 04-27-2009 01:42 PM

Sounds like the facelift did away with the ability to have led tails with no issues... Have no prob with my 01 until I tried to install led turn signal bulbs. They looked great but caused the bulb out errors and the fast blink.

Load resistors didnt work for some reason.

I know it sounds obvious but check those connections!

I had swapped out the rear light assembly on my old (2002) X5, changing the non-sport rear lights with the amber corner to the clear ones (made a HUGE difference in the look on a Sienna Red...anyone remember that color?!?!?!). Anyway I had a few rear light warnings on the dash but after disconnecting and reconnecting the wiring at the light they went away and never came back.

Also agree with the other post to ask for another set from the seller is possible. Nothing wrong with checking another set if the problem persists.

Good luck!
