A/C not working

Anyone know the Voltage that goes to the AC Compressor? Getting .5 ; but will jump up to 12 v as well. The clutch is not engaging. Had the system charged, they are tell me I may need a compressor. Just want to double check before I spend the cash on a new compressor

ok - removed clutch and it is marked 12v.
