Maybe the key malfunction is due to it's not being used for a while? It's my understanding that the keys (hopefully you got two master and one valet as part of CPO) need to be used periodically to maintain a charge. Just a thought.

Congrats on the new X...IR is a sweet color.

Congrats on the new car, but why did you come to Ca to buy. It seems CA prices are higher than those in the rest of the country.

edit: Thing is loaded. Nice pickup.

Well, it did have a 9 hour drive home to charge up...

Only one key, the others didn't arrive in time. Supposed to be fedex'd to me when they get in (I will get them, don't worry -- I have my ways...). I think the battery is going bad as the key will work right after I take it out of the ignition but will not work many hours later. I'll add this to the list of things during my first test of CPO coverages!

It was hard to find a CPO in Imola. I looked at non-cpo ones and then buying an extended warranty and the deals just weren't there. As you see, I wanted a loaded one and found that. It was by far the least expensive in California (I didn't pay $29,991 for it) and the service history had nothing shocking. One owner too.

It fit my needs and met my price point so I bought it. Bonus was that it has the maintenance plan too so that helps for the Inspection II that is coming up.

And I know. Pictures....maybe tonight after work.

Congrats! I know it was a long process finding the right one and I'm glad you scored. I'm looking forward to pictures of your latest red BMW.

BTW, admranger, when you say it's CPO'd and maintenance plan. do you mean the standard maintenance until 4/50,000 or the extended maintenance to 6/100,000. If not the latter and you are interested in it, move quick.

extended maintenance was purchased by previous owner  so I have that as well as CPO. Thanks for the advice though (unfortunately, it is out of the 4/50 warranty already due to age...).

This will be my (counting...........) 11th BMW (2 eventually became race cars), and first one ever with an automatic transmission.
