Lowering the x5

I want to drop my truck but I am confused at what the kits mean by with or without air suspension. i don't have the up and down air suspension, but I do have the auto level in the rear. i can hear it when it comes down off the jack. I was looking at the S2 by BG or the HR's. Which are better and do I need the with or with out kit. I have an 02' 4.4i with 30mm spacers in the rear if that makes a diff.

Go with the S2 by BG front and lowered the rear by the dealer by reprograming the level ( if you have rear air supension)

so i have to reprogram the rear even if the air suspension is the one that doesn't have the button to go up and down. I think mine is jus tthe self leveling. Sorry for all the ?'s I just got mine X5 two weeks ago.

I live 5 min north of Torrington. At the end of Rte. 8, but I work in Shelton.

I read in the forums that someone did S2's in the front and shorter links in the rear????

My 2005 4.4 has air suspension in the rear. It doesn;t matter if you have the up and down button if its a 2005 4.4 or newer, it has rear air standard.

I am waiting for my eibach kit to show up. I will chime in and ket you know if it has to be programmed for the rear. I'm thinking it will just auto adjust but I 'm not 100%. The H&R kit comes with links that replace the OEM links in the rear.

not sure about the meet. But I do know you ate a Kobi's because I work right in corporate park!!!!

Is this a good deal for the H&R kit

seems liks a good price. I had this KIT installed for $400 back in 2003. Loved it go for it!

I am planning on intalling the springs and links myself next weekend. Is there anything I should know about doing this myself? Like complications that might occur, or special tools, etc..

Is there a thread with the instructions for this on here?

Thanks guys
